Dear MOLPRO-USERs,

how is it possible to perform a broken-symmetry UHF/UKS calculation for, e.g.
spin-singlet H2? I assume one must modify the initial guess to be already
polarized (H1-alpha, H2-beta), but I cannot find how to realize that.

My input by now is the following:
----------------------------------------------
***
gprint, orbital
geomtyp=xyz
!
  zH =0.67
!
geometry={angstrom
2     ! number of atoms
H2 molecule
  H1,   0.0,     0.0,     zH
  H2,   0.0,     0.0,    -zH
}
basis=VDZ;
uhf
wf,2,1,0
pop
------------------------------------------------
Obviously that's not enough, but how to proceed?

Best regards,
FRank Wagner
