[molpro-user] Compiling on Altix Itanium 2

Hi Joseph,

although our Itanium machine is not Altix but provided by HP the following 
hints may help you:

1. Make sure the compiler can be found in the PATH. Intel-provided 
rpm-Packages used to install to non-default locations. The easiest way to do 
this is to place a symbolic link to $IA64ROOT/bin/ifortvars.sh 
in /etc/profile.d/. 

2. Make sure you explicitly set IA64ROOT to match your installation before you 
run configure.

After that all went fine for us using Molpro 2002.6 and ifc7.1
