[molpro-user] flash solid state drives

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Our setup for these iMacs only has 1 SATA and 1 SSD (they only have room for 2 drives). So my improved performance is indeed with respect to a single SATA drive. Our clusters typically have 3-4 raid0 striped SATAs such as Millard describes. Anyone do raid0 SSDs?

(but Kirk might have a more up-to-date experience). on our machines we typically link 4 SATA drives as raid 0 (striped but not mirrored) and have an additional SATA drive for backup.
